Last month four members of the Orangeburg Fire Department became nationally certified Child Passenger Safety (CPS)Technicians. These members completed 34 hours of classroom and practical learning offered through the Safe Kids Worldwide program. This class was offered by the New York State Police at the Orangeburg Fire House. Also attending this class were police officers from Rockland, Westchester and the State Police.

These new CPS Technicians are ready to help host car seat check events with the area police agencies and to help out neighbors with their car seats.
